The harvest happiness of individuals with disabilities


Nilüfer Municipality in collaboration with Bursa City Council Rural Area Working Group founded in collaboration founded City Small-Scale Orchards in Ürünlü District. In the City Small-Scale Orchards, people with different disabilities and at different ages have the opportunity to enjoy farming of their own produce. The orchards are designed to meet the needs of physically impaired people, and thus disabled people have the ability to produce their own agricultural crops. Disabled people come in Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays to care for their crops by sowing, digging and watering the plants. They spend good time and enjoy their gardens together with their friends. They grow tomatoes, cucumbers, corn, zucchini, melon, water melon, onion, chickpea and beans.
